FCA Leadership Camp--Shocco Springs
"The FCA Leadership Camp changed my game. It was really informative and all the huddle leaders were always there when you needed then. One thing that really stood out was when we had a team meeting on Wednesday night and to see how many people, including me, got saved and (me) redidacated my life to the Lord! It was amazing and I will never forget this camp and how much I learned from it!"

Girls Team Basketball Camp at the University of West Georgia
Monday night, 4 young ladies received Jesus as their Savior and Lord and 41 others (including one coach), made a recommitment of their life to walk in Christlikeness!!! Praise the Lord.
Tuesday night, about 8 more came forward, at least two of them to receive Jesus as their Savior and Lord!FCA Staff and college age Huddle Leaders gave 100% serving the players and coaches. Huddle times were awesome as the girls opened up and shared their hearts with each other. The testimonies of FCA Staff as well as the huddle leaders, Rene Rochester's teaching and Haley Morgan Smith's leading in worship celebration were directed and empowered by the Holy Spirit. Girls were born again and teams were drawn together in unity. It was an incredible three days.
The teams also got some great competition and loved playing all of their games in the brand new UWG Coliseum - 5 full courts under one roof!
Thank you for your prayers for this camp, we knew we were being prayed for. To God be the glory, GREAT things He has done!!!!
______________________________________________________________________________________________ Girls Black Mountain Camp
Thank you for all of your prayers for Girls Black Mtn camp. Though our camper number was down, we did reach our planning number of 132 campers and had a tremendous week. 21 indicated that they repented of their sin and surrendered their life to Jesus as their Savior and Lord and 20 indicated a recommitment to Christ.
Each morning we were challenged from Romans 12:1-2 as Rene Rochester taught on our theme of "InsideOut". Monday night, evangelist Levi Skipper brought a strong gospel message and 10 accepted Christ. Tuesday night, Amy Parham encouraged the girls to take care of their bodies as the temple of the Lord (Amy and her husband Phillip lost 105 and 151 lbs respectively on "The Biggest Loser"), Wednesday night, Shane Williamson challenged us all to face the lions in our lives and take action to secure the victory over them, and Thursday night, Haley Morgan Smith, our worship leader, shared her testimony and led worship as many of the campers came to the alter to accept Christ, to recommit their life to Christ and to pray about lions in their lives. Many face incredibly difficult home situations.
During the day there was great fun at competition, skill development at seven different sports clinics and sharing during huddle times. During free time, some took on the challenge of the ropes course, others went swimming and several climbed the 3 miles to the top of the mountain! The weather was awesome every day, thank you Lord!We had campers from as far away as Louisiana, Sarasota, FL and Memphis, TN. Here's part of an email from Allie Etter, Memphis FCA staffer: "Kim, Thank you so much for putting on a great camp!!! You'd be happy to know that our girls sang a round-robin version of all the camp songs for a good bit of our 11 hour drive home! We got great feedback from all the girls, and I know that they truly appreciated it. So, thank you!!!"
Thank you all! ____________________________________________________________________________________
St. Simon's Island Leadership Camp #1
Student-Athlete Leaders were equipped, enabled, empowered, and encouraged last week at FCA's Leadership Camp at St. Simon's Island. The outcome - campuses and communities will be greatly impacted and influenced! The camp's focus was on three important principles in the life of a leader - Faith, Purity, and Authority. There were a total of 597 present last week at camp, 557 campers, with 40 staff. 18 students indicated placing their Faith in Jesus Christ for the very first time.
Some of the comments we heard from campers include:
"Camp has helped me understand Faith, to know why Purity is so important, and to submit to Authority." Anna from Fayetteville, Georgia
"Camp strengthened my faith and helped me to realize that I do not have to be ashamed of the God I serve. I literally will become even more undignified everyday." Brianna from Griffin, Georgia
"This camp really helped me renew my Faith and my walk with Jesus. It showed weak areas of my life that I need to change." Kerra from Smith Station, Alabama
"Being around people who love Jesus, just helps me to be thankful for being here. Also, all the breakout sessions helped me to realize how important leadership really is." Alonzo from Greenville, South Carolina
"It has helped me become more devoted in prayer and Faith. It has given me more courage to stand in front of my friends and talk about Jesus Christ."
Larry from Eatonton, Georgia
"This camp has opened my eyes to the things that God has tried telling me. It has refreshed my relationship with Christ." LaQuita from Rock Hill, South Carolina
Thank you for your prayers and support of this camp! It was a privilege to be apart of it!
